My husband and I along with my two children lived at the gold bar for a year . It was one of the most beautiful locations I've ever had the privilege to live at. I met some of my best friends there. The management was above expectations. I understand that it is Under New Management now, and I have high hopes that they will maintain the facility with love and make any improvements that are necessary to continue to care for the tenants.

Rate ZERO star. The owner came into my apartment twice (that I know of) when I did not get to the door in time. Also threatened me with a gun when my 2 year old and 2 month old baby were with me. They also shut off our power in the middle of winter with our 2 small children living with us, because we got one month behind on rent because my husband became laid off during the winter. Very evil people who own this place. I highly recommend finding ANY other place to stay. They do not deserve your money or friendliness.

Beautiful place rich with history if you have time to chat it up wth the elderly owners. They are friendly, cautious and firm. Its a nightly rental IF there is availability. Most take residency in the furnished rooms and enjoy the natural surroundings of the creek and critters that roam around. It was originally a homestead with 30 quarter horse, a stocked trout pond a creek to play and fish in and an occasional buffalo. Deer roaming in the early mornings and ducks and geese squawking in the turtle pond. If you need a place to unwind in a no frills, quiet place with simple rooms, its great. Its not a hotel or motel, its just a place to hang your hat.
