Friendly hosts Tom and Marla ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast is a smorgasbord of home baking and preserves. Beautiful surroundings and a tranquil atmosphere.

Lovely breakfast, charming rooms, gracious hosts and a really good value halfway on the drive to Tofino, it makes great sense to stay the night for a shorter, well-rested drive the next day. Included breakfast is substantial and the coffee is really good.

A genuine treasure of a find for a peaceful night in peaceful surroundings; wonderful hosts, and a great breakfast. We will be back and, in the meantime, you will be mentioned to our friends as the best place to stay in Port Alberni - no doubt about that.

Nice quiet location, the owners were friendly... But my husband made a reservation online, and much later I was going to leave some feedback and discovered that their rates were actually quite a bit less than what my husband had made the reservation for, but the owner didn't say anything, just accepted the payment. Doesn't seem too ethical to me. And the bathroom fan didn't even work. We wouldn't stay there again.

Very generous hosts got a room set up for us last minute when the highway was too snowy to drive late at night. Amenities were good, really nice decor made for a homey atmosphere (plants, artwork, little fountain...) and excellent breakfast. Such a pleasant stop on our trip!
