Clean and nicely located...friendly too. Good ambiance with a nice view offered. Would be 5 stars if breakfast was offered off season and if the internet was not so darn weak. Couldnot even load up to simply email. Was quaint and we enjoyed.

No complaints. Pretty, clean, friendly family runs the place, really nice rooms.

While my little "apartment" was clean and for the most part comfortable, I was disappointed with a lot of aspects of this place! Heat - there was no ability to turn the heat down from the unit and the windows would not open so it became very hot during the day even with all the shades down. Kitchen - one of the reasons I booked this place was because it had a full kitchen, however it was VERY poorly stocked. There were none of the following: bowls, baking sheets, napkins, sugar for coffee, butter knives (there was one sharp knife), frying pans, small sauce pans (there was one large saucepan), oven mits. There was a couple wine glasses and a broken wine bottle opener, a few utensils and plates, and some coffee cups. I emailed the owner while there and asked her to provide some essentials for the kitchen. I got a couple bowls, a throw away baking pan with holes in the bottom (???) and some splenda... which I don't use in my coffee. I ended up just eating out most nights which was what I didn't want to do. TV - While the tv was nice and large and the owner let me know Netflix was available, the account for Star of the Sea had some sort of parental control on it and despite asking for the 4 digit PIN I never got it. I ended up watching Netflix on my phone most of the time. Noise - At least two night (of 5) I was woken up by someone in the owners suite above multiple times with very loud walking and shutting doors... including after midnight. I ended up having to use earplugs. View - one of the appeals was the view but apparently the photo was taken from another unit as I had a partial ocean view blocked by buildings, power lines and trees... not the unobstructed view shown in the photos online. The unit was clean and spacious, I had my own parking (I had to move my car once for the owner to get out and I was in the middle of a conference call for work at the time), the shower was hot, and the bed was super comfy. Despite this, there were too many cons for me to recommend this place. It is NOT a bed and breakfast either.
