Large room with kitchen. An older hotel but reasonable for the price compared to other downtown hotels. Not as fancy or as comfortable as an updated chain hotel but adequate given price. Internet seems to work well so that's a big plus.

It was great! The room was nice, with plenty of beds and living area. The view was great. Service was polite, and available. Can not ask for much more.

Our time at the Rivera was not unpleasant but the whole place needs significant updating. While the room had updated flooring the door to the room looked like it had been broken into before. The catch lock was broken off. The kitchen didn't work and only found when we checked out that you have to request to have the kitchen working. The location was nice and close to downtown but next time I will pay the extra and stay at a nice hotel.

I wanted to write this review. I myself and my friends will not be going to the riviera hotel anymore, unless you want your things to be stolen by the stuff. I used to think it was a really great hotel, Every time I stayed in Vancouver I would stay at riviera hotel and have even recommended it to a bunch of my friends that have also stayed in this hotel. The one thing that we have all noticed is that every time We stay there, there’s this one lady named Gloria and we have heard her say to the other staff ( cleaning ladies ) to tell the manager that they should Be paid a lot more than they are being paid too little. I don’t think that’s very appropriate or professional to do in front of paying customers. Second of all I myself have experience this and so have my friends. When we have stayed at the hotel the lady named Gloria is the one that has been in charge of cleaning our room and we have noticed that bottles of wine or liquor that we bought to take to our friends or back home was missing She ended up taking it. One day we watched as she left and she had a bottle sticking out of her bag also my friend that has stayed there recently with her children their tablet went missing it wasn’t the most expensive tablet out there it was an Amazon fire with the green case but the point is that she took it. When my friend went to ask the front desk if they could go check the room they said Gloria had already cleaned it the room and did see a tablet and when they went to go check the room the tablet was nowhere to be found This short lady by the name of Gloria when she cleaned my friends room obviously took the tablet the most frustrating part of this is that she didn’t even take it down to the front desk to wait one or two days to see if somebody would came and claim the tablet.
