I was there for a family wedding which was at the top floor. The servers were very polite. The wedding had approximately 200 people and it was very hot in the room. The food was ok at best. The hotel had all kinds of scarey people going in and out of the bar but had security working to control them as there.

Amazing old hotel for a good price. While it isn't a luxury destination, it makes up for it in history and character. It has gorgeous architecture, spacious rooms, and complimentary breakfast. When we asked the staff they were happy to give us a tour of the ballroom and halls, which are beautiful. Don't forget to say hello to Edith if you happen to be staying on the fifth floor.

Hall was decorated beautifully for a family wedding I attended. AC was not keeping up. Got warm but in fairness it was very hot outside. Wish they had more than the 2 small elevators that took a while to reach the 8th floor. The food that was served was good. But the coffee had an aftertaste. So i skipped that. Service was ok too.

Location is convenient to down town and MTS centre. No fault of the hotel, but unfortunately it is very run down, smelly, and dirty. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It looks like food in the restaurant is a good deal, but I have not tried it. I personally would not stay.
