My stay at the Hilton was awesome. The whole place was clean and wonderful. Security on each floor made you feel safe. They were friendly. When I made my online reservation for my room. I called to be sure that the room was booked and they willingly called me back to confirm that yes I had a room. That made my mind at ease. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I went to a private function last week. The food was awful! I choose beef, asked the waiter how the beef was cooked, he says medium every piece that came to the table was Grey, cooked well done! The soup was supposed to be cream of mushroom. It was like water, kind of like they didn't make enough so they added more water. They put garlic mashed potatoes on the plate, there was so much garlic you couldn't taste potato that was disgusting! The carrots were cooked perfectly. The men's bathroom...the doors on every one of them broken! Something in the ceiling in the ball room was ticking so loudly, I went home and laid in bed... tick tick tick!

We had a terrible stay at the Hilton Airport suites Winnipeg last weekend. We filed complaints with staff, and through the website but they have yet to be addressed. They advertise they will "Make it right" but they don't. Although we had a reservation and it was late in the afternoon when we arrived, our room was not ready. We were told to wait in the " Executive lounge" on the 6th floor and they would bring us our key. There were appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were nothing special, mediocre at best. We had to ask for our free drink (soft drinks were offered, alcohol was no where to be seen until we asked). We waited an hour before going back down to the front desk where the attendant said she was JUST coming to get us. We were put in a poolside room (Not at our request...had no interest in swimming). It was on the mezzanine level...only way to reach it was climbing the stairs. The elevator does not go to this level. We are seniors. We did not reserve at The Hilton expecting we would have to climb to our room! She said "Well it's only 12 steps". My husband had knee surgery....12 steps are difficult for him! When we finally got to our room, we had to call the front desk a number of times. The attendant came to our room to address our issues. She was very nice and polite and said she usually gives an upgrade from this room, but they were booked solid. The poolside door wouldn't open, remote didn't work, toilet "ran" and the noise from the pool was crazy. People were having fun, and that's great, but it was so loud in our room that we literally could not hear our TV. We had to roll towels up and place them under the door to try to dull the noise. We needed ice. The ice machine on our level was out of order. I climbed the stairs to FOUR other floors only to find each time that they, too, were out of order. I finally once again called the desk to have ice brought to our room. I have taken my concerns to the Hilton and given them opportunity to address them. Aside from the standard "We've received your complaint" auto reply, they have not contacted us. We are Hilton Rewards members...this was far from our first stay in a Hilton. All we wanted was a quiet, relaxing night. Instead we had a very stressful time. To add insult to injury, now no one is dealing with the situation which is only making matters worse. The only thing I am left to do is to try to prevent someone else from paying very good money for what they think will be a nice, relaxing night away. Do not stay at Hilton.

I stay in lots of Hilton Hotels and this is by far the worst I have visited. It was scruffy all round in general appearance. the food served was a very poor standard and bad value. The staff in the restaurant , though I appreciate they are likely not paid much, were really untidy and did not even look wholesome enough to be serving food. The ‘white’ shirts they wore were grey, some were wearing trainers and the service provided was cursory at best. To add to that when I came back to my room on my first day I found the door to my room was open! The room service staff had not closed it properly after they had done their work. Anyone could have walked in and helped themselves to my belongings. The only good thing about this hotel was the driver of the airport shuttle who was bright and cheerful and did a great job. However I won’t be seeing him again as I’ll not be staying at this hotel again at all.

Staff are fantastic but hotel dated and rooms not particularly clean. Lots of damage to furnishings, requiring updates. Beds are comfortable, and the central location means easy access to nearby essentials. It's a short cab from the international airport as well as the local Perimeter airport.
