Its a great place to stay, it's not the most fancy place or modern place but it has kitchenettes in most rooms at a reasonable price. I have been staying at this motel off and on over the years. The owners are great, if u have a problem of any sort they will do there best to accommodate you. You just have to ask. This place is great for the working person who is from out of town and working in the area, trying to save a buck. With the price and the kitchenette and only a 15 minute drive to Brandon it's perfect. It also has a gas station with a convenient small grocery store with good hours and with it's country feel it's guiet and peaceful.

Filthy filthy place.. Garbage everywhere and dirty bedding and towels, things like needles, bottles and trash. The whole place was visibly dirty with crumbs, stains on floor and in tub/ sink. Dirt and hair all over and in between the beds. Obviously do not recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. Boycott the Torch Land Motel, Shilo, MB. We just stayed at the Torch Land Motel when we came to Shilo for a hockey tournament. This hotel was the most filthy place I have ever seen. (See Photos). We found needles, empty booze bottles, rolling papers, garbage, empty food wrappers and dirty towels in these rooms that we were gauranteed were going to be clean. Oh and did I mention the rooms 80 dollars a night with taxes. We argued with the owner for 48 hours and finally got a 35 dollar refund. His justifaction for this amount was becuase we had already broke a key off in the doorknob that was taped on by electrical tape and that cost him money. Ps. I didnt even have a door handle on my door. Please if you are planning on staying in this area avoid staying at this hotel. If you have no other option, make sure you get your tetanus shot and bring a nebulizer so you can actually breath while staying there.
