It's not fancy, but it was clean and reasonably comfortable. There isn't much choice if you want to stay in Manitou. I found it rather odd that there was no check in desk. I had to go to the bar to register. The next morning the bar was closed when it was time to leave, so we left the keys with the restaurant. We did enjoy a good breakfast in the attached restaurant.

Tracy (i think her name is) in the bar is an awful server... to be honest... she sits with the customers and we have to get up to get a beer. the tables were dirty and she never pays attention to the customers... she marked down all of our drinks and told us to figure out the bill later.. like she couldn't split our tabs up. awful experience and I'm sorry but a terrible server.

Nice little restaurant here! I had the quesadillas (light) and it was the perfect size for lunch. My husband and grandma had burgers and the patties are ginormous! It looked like 3 patties in one ! We had great service and our server was very friendly!

Horrendous experience. Now sitting in the very cold room writing this review before hitting the road. We were passing through last night, a little too tired after a long drive. The two of us decided to swing in Manitou and catch some sleep. The motel was all empty and no one in it and their pub/reception is locked. We thought they were out of business. The adjacent restaurant was still open and it is only 7:30 pm. Asked the person in the restaurant if the motel out of business she said no but she didn't have access to the motel part but quickly called the owner then said the owner is on her way. After waiting about 10 minutes we were deciding to drive to Morden instead but then I heard someone calling if we want a room with a very thick Chinese accent I am glad I understood that she was the owner. She got us to the bar part anc charged my credit card upfront $77.98 Canadian. I asked her why everything is closed in the motel, she asked me why I ask and if I wanted to buy a beer!!! Weird!! I said no just want the sleep. Went in the room showered and the wind current in the room is like you are actually sleeping in a tent. So cold. Tried to call the number they have listed in this site an answering system answers you then tells you that no message can be left, mailbox full. Terrible tiny bathroom. Super cold room but thankfully the water in the shower warm. The towels leave on your body bunch of lint that get stuck to your face and hair and the rest of your body part that you need to shower to wash it off. A horrendous cycle!!! The adjacent restaurant closed when it was 8:30 and I went to it to check who can we called staff or the owner herself to get clean/lint free towels. I guess it was like we got stranded the only two people at this whole motel that seemed dark and cold and in the middle of nowhere!!!! Please, PRETTY PLEASE drive a little farther and avoid this motel!!
