This was a great and brand new hotel! It was so clean and chic. The staff was amazing - they recommended local activities. The restaurant wasn't built yet so there was free continental breakfast. My hotel room was on the top floor and had a great view of the waterfront and the city. I would definitely stay there again when visiting St. John's.

Modern hotel attempting to appeal most to a modern trendy clientele. We had a queen room looking over water Street. Comfortable, but small. Ceiling rain style shower was great. Weird impractical door handles. One color changing Mood light in shower is strange. Why not use those buttons for dimming. Touch screen at bed and entry are a nice modern touch but don't add much functionality which can be cumbersome. When it rained, the water would drip on metal trim outside window making lots of noise which may annoy some people. Key access in elevator to room levels might make some people more secure, but is annoying if carrying stuff. Staff was helpful and professional as they should be. Conference rooms are practical and have beautiful views. Restrooms on lobby floor lack some male/female privacy. Bakery foods at breakfast were awesome.

Loved the first time staying and had to book again. The rooms are really modern and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel is located in a great area to access shops, restaurants and landmarks. The staff is incredibly nice and are always happy to help or say hello. The beds are super comfy and can be counted on for a good night's sleep. I highly recommend Alt Hotels in St. John's!

Recently stayed at the Alt St. John’s for a weekend getaway. Can’t ask for a better location to stay in Downtown St. John’s! The view from the room was great, the room was super clean and best of all, it had a super comfy bed! Complimentary continental breakfast available in the morning from 7-11am. Freshly made scones, croissants (from Rocket Bakery!), cereals, yogurt, juice, milk and coffee. The front desk staff were very pleasant and friendly. Great place to stay and spend a couple of days exploring Downtown shops, restaurants and pubs/bars. Will definitely go back again!

I had an excellent stay at Alt Hotel St.John's. The room was clean and comfortable - once I figured out how to use the control panels for lighting and room temperature, that is. The gym is small but allowed for a quick workout. As this is a boutique hot, you can't expect a spa or swimming pool. Breakfast is provided but the options are very limited. The hotel is conveniently located downtown on Water street, just a few minutes away from George Street and maybe 10 minutes from city Hall and the convention center. The view on the bay is excellent and there are also parks nearby to relax. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times. Free wifi is now essential, bandwidth and speed were more than ok. All in all I recommend the hotel and will not hesitate to stay there again if and when I return to the city.
