Westwood Inn & Suites

Bang bang bang goes the door next to the room. People talking next door and in the hall way. Bang goes the door. No Ac. Tim Hortons coffee cup left on top of fridge that was not mine. Was the room really cleaned? Dont think so. Bang goes the door again. 11:50 pm and have to get up at 5:30 am. Never no more will I stay here. Bang goes the door again. Faaaaaaawk

First thing I have to say is the front desk staff did go out of their way to help out with situations that occurred as the guests of our party started arriving.. 1. Pictures on web are very deceiving when it comes to the motel area 2. The price that I was quoted was to be for all rooms that I booked (7 rooms) 3. There was no indication on the web site advising that there is no continental breakfast provided due to covid 4. All amenities in the room were not provided one of those was a clothes iron the coffee and tea provided was substandard instant coffee which didn't appear to be replenished with each new guest which I felt would have been part of covid protocols 5. High speed internet is not true it was hit or miss when I questioned the front staff they rebooted the system which caused those that had managed to link in to the internet lose their connection and had to try to connect again quite frustrating 6 Upgrades are being completed not sure if they are being done by a professional as the New flooring in one of the rooms is separating causing a potential tripping hazard 7. When we entered our room I inspected the room and found items that confirmed for me that the room clean was not precise and thorough garbage in drawers, dirt on sides of bed, bathroom sink clogged as we checked in the day before the remainder of our party was to arrive we advised the front desk to check all the other rooms to ensure cleanliness 8. Very musty/stale smoke smell in our area which is considered non-smoking I think as part of the upgrades they should have removed all the carpeting in the hallways to help eliminate some of the odors trapped in the carpet instead of trying to cover it up with air fresheners 9. Only for it was a busy weekend in the area at the time and we had a large party and the front desk staff went out of their way we would have booked at another hotel in the area 10. Check out time is 11:00 but the front desk is not staffed until 12:00 we just locked our room doors and left the keys in our rooms 11. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the staff and how they helped out as best as they could

This inn is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious. When I stayed there it was closed due the covid / so you couldnt get anything such as juice or bottled water.

Westwood was able to fit my group in on very late notice, and was incredibly accommodating! We were pleasantly surprised at the smoking rooms available, and the quality of the room. We would recommend Westwood to anyone looking for a nice, affordable little place while on the road.
