Very rude night staff. The guy who was working on the 25th of may friday was very rude . Even at the checkout time, the girl wasn’t polite. Overall very bad service. Heat too high. Beds dirty and hard. Not recommended!

I find my stay at the lodge very pleasant and stressless for me all staffworking there are very polite and pleasant to deal with. They all go out of there way to make your stay comfortable.

Beds are hard.. Rooms have nothing in them except bed and tv and alarm clock. Shower I cleaned before I used it had long black hair on walls and in tub. Front desk service is usually good except last night..

Rooms are basic but clean. Would help if there was a small bar fridge in the rooms to help cut down on costs while in Halifax for medical appointments. Room rates are very reasonable but you pay extra for parking. The Lodge is close to the QEII and restaurants on Spring Garden Road. There is also a restaurant at the Lodge but the selection is very limited, ie. two different menu items for supper. Also the restaurant isn't open on Saturday or Sunday. I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget and are okay with basic. I just stayed at the Lodge from April 8 to April 12, 2019, while my husband underwent surgery at the QEII. I was very dissatisfied. I only needed a single room but they were being renovated. I was charged for a double room because it had one double bed in it as opposed to a single bed. It's not my fault that the single rooms were being renovated and I, therefore, feel I should have only been charged the single rate. Not sure if I'll stay here again or not.
