This is a beautiful location right on the water. The accommodations were very comfortable. It has a classic lodge feel; much of the architecture is log cabin build. The service was excellent and friendly. We had drinks and ate a delicious dinner at the bar. Great spot for a quiet walk on the beach and a peaceful waterside location. It is a very family-friendly location. The sunrise was amazing but early. We saw an eagle sitting at the water's edge.

Nice view and sort of like being at camp. Accommodation was fine. Dinner in the lodge at the pub was a disaster. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine which was served room temperature. Oysters were not served on ice, which is strange and we needed to remind our server to bring condiments. Lobster roll was served on old bread and lobster was all shredded instead of nice chunks like every other place I've eaten them on the East Coast. Even my daughter's Nachos were overcooked. Server seemed out of their depth. Once bill arrived we sat forever with card out waiting to pay and when I finally asked our server to pay they told us "oh you need to do that up front". Would have been nice to know when the bill was dropped off. You need to do a better job folks.

Pictou lodge Beach Resort. Nice little spot to relax and rent a cabin or chalet for the weekend. Private beach area. Pool. Small lake pond where you can use the kayaks or paddleboards. Fine dining and pub dining available. Also a nice spot just to go for dinner and drinks with some friends or on a date. They host special events and community events and can be booked for weddings, or a private party. Catering available.

Setting and view were fantastic, service was superb. I had the lobster roll which was underwhelming: bun was too large and dry, lobster wasn't seasoned enough for my taste. I tried the breakfast and the seafood chowder also and both were fantastic, however.

We stayed in one of the quaint cottages with a wood stove. The kindling & wood available right on the doorstep. Had a beautiful meal at the lodge overlooking the ocean that evening with exceptionial service. We will definitely be back again!!
