I'll start off with the bad. I wish they'd change their Best Western sign because I thought my husband and I had gone to the wrong place and drove around the hotel again...which wouldn't be a big deal under normal circumstances but it was after our wedding and we were exhausted. The room was nice and spacious..it had a sit down area for chatting or just doing a bit of work. Everything else seemed clean as well. Free breakfast included where you can make your own waffles if you're so inclined. I was too lazy and just chose cereal, a muffin, and a banana. (Also, don't expect them to add any special touches just because it's your wedding night. They did not do anything.)

Big spacious rooms, with a nice buffet continental breakfast, and a pool. Wish they would of kept their fitness room, but the university of Guelph has all you need to cover your fitness needs. The service was great as well. We love Guelph!❤

The hotel is great I did notice though when you drive up needs a little work outside from winter. Reception clean and tidy helpful staff. Rooms are large bathrooms are a little on the small side, all in all nice place and they have a swimming pool which is outside so I was there in May and was still closed. Would recommend and close to restaurants.

Stay somewhere else. No hot water for two days. When we mentioned it to the front desk, they seemed surprised each time and said it was a volume issue. It's a hotel. Anticipate volume. We mentioned the lack of hot water issue at least 3 times. Layout of the hotel is awful. There is a rickety elevator to 2 then you have to haul your luggage up stairs to 3rd floor. Our daughter left her blanket on the bed so maid service said they couldn't make up the bed with personal items left on it. They don't restock your shampoo or conditioner at all so you have to make due with the tiny bottles for the duration of your stay. They do not have any heat on in the hallways or conference room. So to summarize, pay a little more but stay somewhere else. At least then, you might be able to have a shower.

This hotel is beautiful on the inside. The rooms are clean, the pool is nice and the breakfast is satisfactory. More fresh options should be added to the menu. The only fruit available for my week long stay were apples and fruit cups. I'm also disappointed there was no fitness centre when it is clearly listed on the amenities while booking. My room was so gorgeous and the orice was so reasonable, that I really can't complain about anything. If you stay here, make good use of the university campus across the street. Buy a Tim Horton's or Starbucks coffee(open mon-fri) and explore the grounds. There is also a fitness centre here and you can enjoy a nice quiet jog around the campus in the morning. I would stay here again.
