This may actually be one of the worst places I have ever stayed that had a brand name attached to it. How on earth Howard Johnson is affiliated with this dive is beyond reason. It may be inexpensive but it is not cheap. At half the price they charge I would expect this or better. The entire establishment requires a complete makeover or better yet a bulldozer and restart.

Location is good, bit the hotel is a bit run down, could use a good coat of paint by a professional. Building Maintenance could be a better, there were at least 4-5 burnt out lights in the lobby (still lots of light from the remaining LEDs) and it sounded like they had been like that for awhile. Continental breakfast wasn't much, I expect at least a "make your own waffle" machine at hotels, they don't have one. On a good note, the staff is friendly and the hotel is quite and close to everything (downtown is a 5 min drive away)

We spent 1 night at the Howard Johnson. It was a decent motel, could use some upgrades. It was comfortable and everything that is a necessity was in good shape. However, it could use some cosmetic changes. The bed was comfortable, the linens were good, the shower had good pressure and it was clean! The continental breakfast was good with a good selection.

Our room at the Atlanta was "destroyed by the previous guests" (literally what the receptionist said) and our reservation was moved to the Howard Johnson, as there was no more room at the inn. Room was clean, staff were polite and helpful. Excellent experience.

Not clean room. Bed sheet and comforter had offensive stains. Felt very disgusting. Housekeepers don't do their job well. But night lady manager was very nice and sweet. But when it comes to staying in this motel NEVER AGAIN! Even AC was horrible. No buttons except ON and OFF would work.
