Spent the weekend here while I was in Ontario for work. And of course like everybody else I read the reviews first. All I can say is that the bad reviews I saw we're definitely undeserved. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The air conditioning was ice cold and it was hot out so that was excellent. The rooms are not huge but plenty big for what I needed. The location is amazing if you want to be able to walk somewhere to have some adult beverages or to grab a good meal. I stay in hotels a lot for work and was definitely impressed with this place.

Oh me oh my. Avoid at all costs. We read review and it said 4 stars. Oh hell no. Uncomfortable bed. No place to put cloths. Nowhere to eat. Terrible decore. No paint or maintenance since it was built in 1908. Staff was nice room was sort of surface cleaned. My non smoking room smelled like smoke.I was asked if i wanted non smoking but it was the last room left. Smoking room is more expensive. Sneaky. Overall a complete dump. Downtown is nice and i felt safe walking but never ever again. Dont make my mistake.

Needs a good clean in bathroom. Heater and baseboards dusty. Everything else ok.

Lovely couple own this. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean which I appreciate. I will stay here every time I come to Whitby. Two things to be aware of: the walls are very thin, be prepared for that and the rooms are quite dark. The windows only have sun blocking drapes so when you let natural light in you're basically in an aquarium for all to see. I can deal with those for the cleanliness, ownership, price and location. 👍🏼
