I believe that Meshaw Falls Cottages has the most beautiful location on the river.

I remember going up there two weeks every summer as a kid. Best experiences ever. Pete and Marilyn, who owned it at the time, treated everyone like family. Even remember Rex, their white german shepherd. It's the quintessential cottage experience. Don't think twice about giving it a try. Tearing up just thinking about that place.

Best place on this whole earth to vacation. We would go up there every year for two weeks when my parents were alive. 1973- 1987. My family's favorite place. My brother just passed away from Covid last week. He requested that he be cremated and his ashes be spread at the French River. So that's what we will plan to do when the border opens up again.
