Extremely clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were staying while storm damage
repair was being done at our house. We stayed at a Comfort the first night. Had to move in the morning, as the hotel was booked to capacity. Nice enough, most expensive. The next day or two, we stayed at a Holiday Inn. Hotel is getting older, and could use some TLC. Nice full breakfast included, at the hotel's full service restaurant, helpful staff. Still a bit pricey for the quality.
Finally, for the four nights remaining, we stayed at the Holiday inn Express (behind the Holiday Inn). The least expensive and the BEST out of the four hotels! Beautiful room. In fact, the entire place in was perfect for us. If I could have, I would have taken all the room furniture. A built-in wall mounted desktop with overhead lighting built-in to a wall mounted shelf above the desk, a nice sofa, nice desk chair on rollers. The fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and an extra shelf above, ALL fit into a recessed section of the wall, in the foyer. Clearly, I like this hotel!! GREAT friendly, eager to please and efficient staff. Highly recommend you book your next stay in or near Southgate, MI, at this hotel.
