We had booked 1 night ‘suite’ @ 300.00/ night. The website boasts of eclectic accommodations and amazing service, so we thought, amazing, let’s get some Kingston history (and even find our forever stay as our daughter is going to Queens). Not the case. They forgot to bring up extra blankets for my daughters bed, didn’t bring our breakfast as requested and refused to give us 10 minutes past check out. Considering it was dead, I’m quite sure 10 minutes extra for your 300.00$ wouldn’t have hurt. Especially considering we wanted a place to call home while our girl is away. Take your history. Service matters.

I stay in Kingston once or twice a year and this is the ONLY place I go!! Staff are very accommodating. Rooms are quiet, antique-cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is served with Victorian flare out on the veranda. Walking distance to everything Kingston has to offer.

This place was awesome! Breakfast was really nice and my room was a classic.

The location was perfect but the house was old and dusty under the dim light. The room has very basic amenities and the washroom looks untidy, tap water runs yellow and the shower fauset dirty. Then I found a long scratch on the back of my car after one night’s parking, what a terrible experience!!!

Great location and lovely staff. The hotel is old and beautiful and our room was huge (with gorgeous high ceilings) and clean. Breakfast was an English muffin, some cheese, a lovely glass of orange juice, & plenty of coffee. And there was fruit laid out. A small breakfast was perfect, as we were off to a Food Tour that started at 11:00. (On day 2, we were able to eat in our room while we finished packing. Excellent!) In our hunt for a hotel, we were looking for somewhere that wasn't as expensive as the chain hotels and we found it. But I suppose it was a "you get what you pay for" kind of experience? The water hardly trickled out of the shower. The towels & toilet paper were the cheapest there is. One jar of 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner was provided. The hairdryer was ineffective. Interestingly, there was a second little sink in a little closet nook on the other side of the room. I was excited to be able to brush my teeth while my travelling companion showered. Nope. Only scalding hot water (too hot to wash your hands with) came out of the tap. I'll go back, I'll just arrive with slightly lower expectations than I did this time. Addendum: I was going to rate the hotel 3 stars. But now that I've read through my review, I'm going to go for 4 instead. It did the trick.
