If you travel with kids, inquire about one of the rooms with bunk beds! They were the hit with our five year old grandson as was the swimming pool. The place accepts larger dogs and other pets for a $15 surcharge. Since we usually travel with our (very well behaved) German Shepherd, this is crucial to our selection of a suitable hotel. The place on the weekend was very noisy due to a large minor hockey team, but our grandson loved the action in the pool, which was very splashy to say the least. If it’s a weekend during hockey season and you are looking for a quiet, romantic couple’s retreat, this may not be your place. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is served in the lobby. It is okay but not great. One negative was the very hot coffee machine that doesn’t shut off immediately when you flip the tab back and water continues to fill and overflow the paper cup if you’re not careful. I burned two fingers and had to get some help from the first aid kit at the front desk. You may say it was my stupidity but I have used many coffeemakers in my life, and this one is definitely tricky and should be replaced, especially with so many bouncy kids around. There are a lot of amenities nearby, such as Wendy‘s and Jack Astor‘s just adjacent. East Side Mario‘s right beside the hotel was closed with an eviction note by the landlord at the door. That was weird but certainly not the hotel’s fault.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is not big enough for the amount of guests. It is posted you can't take food out of the breakfast area but the staff were pretty understanding and let us bring food to our rooms. Close to the 400, Costco, Walmart, a whole bunch of other shopping areas as well as a bunch of different restaurants.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I did not have any problems with noiy transfer from adjacent room. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it does the jobs.

Oh my god, they have so much amenities. Great and clean services. Best place to stay in Barrie while on a visit and super affordable too. Enjoyed my stay here.

It was a nice room. Nothing fancy. Unfortunately, we had hockey teams or something staying with us. It was a bit loud, but not terrible.
