We have stayed here years back, it was good. This time as we entered the room we found dust everywhere; the side tables, top and under the fridge and behind the TV; not cleaned for a long time. We contacted the front desk regarding this & the 110% clean guarantee; they immediately moved us to a new room, which was much better, and gave us the stay for free... After being in the first room it made us wonder what else was not clean both with the room and other rooms / hotel... Overall our stay was pleasant, only one night. The restaurant food was fine but somewhat overpriced. There is plenty of parking...

We considered moving to Owen Sound, because it is a lovely place, lots of waterfront and people spaces, beautiful old homes on generous lots, covered with stately trees, good services - hospital and emergency and schools. BUT - then we would never have a reason to stay at the Best Western Inn on the Bay again! We were there during the Owen Sound Canada Day fireworks display, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful light show from our air conditioned room. The Sound was 'pond-smooth' and dotted with boats, and the lawns of the BW Inn on the Bay was covered with families. Owen Sound did it up right. Our room was very comfortable, roomy and clean, the towels soft and plenty of them. Everything worked (especially the AC on a weekend that hit 39 degrees) and the staff were engaging and friendly. It's a favorite on our list and a really good reason to be a 'loyalty' member.

Hotel staff were not the most helpful. Our stay was fine, the room was clean and nice. Great view from our King suite. The food that was catered by the restaurant for the wedding I attended was not very good. Chicken was visibly undercooked. Dessert was delicious however. Great to stay at, wouldn't hold an event here.

We spent two nights at this hotel. The room was very small and looked out over garbage bins. Not a pleasant view. But it is located on the shores of the lake with beautiful walks in both direction. Benches and picnic tables scattered all along the walkway. It is pet-friendly but charges $20/night for your pet. The restaurant menu was very good but a little out of our price range. Breakfast was included and was great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice and clean hotel. We stayed in a two queen beds room on the fourth floor, with a lake view Window, we also enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel, the foods are good and a little bit pricey. We like the hotel, the only problem is there is no many entertainment facilities, as our major purpose of the stay is for a family vacation.
