Room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived, even though the door had a no smoking sign on it. Workout room had broken treadmill, no curtain on the huge window either. And the breakfast... just awful. If you’re looking to stay at a hotel near this one, there is holiday inn and best western right beside it. I recommend staying at one of those hotels. 10/10 do NOT recommend. And we found a bug in our room.

Overall the room was fine, and the booking was easy, but I just had one issue. While checking out, there were 4 guests in front of me that were asked how their stay was and to have a good day, when it came to me, I asked about the $150 deposit fee that was charged on my card, and if it was going to be refunded right then.... The clerk said that the room had to be checked first before the money was refunded. It was interesting to me and a little offensive that out of the everyone checking out before me, I was the only one that had to have their room checked and was charged this deposit fee. I guess they can pick and choose who they want to charge this fee to. I don't know if it was because my boyfriend and I were young, American, black, or all of the above, but I didn't like or appreciate the hidden fee. As of yet, the money hasn't been refunded, but I will give it until the end of the week.

A clean, well-maintained hotel. No elevator for the 2nd floor. Breakfast was good the first day {scrambled eggs and sausages), but the second day there were odd fake eggs (egg whites with coloured orange dots in the centre instead of yolks. Very friendly breakfast staff (Violet was a cheery star). Rooms may allow sounds from adjacent rooms to come in due to doors that join adjoining rooms that are not well sound insulated. We could clearly make out the voices/conversations next door. Beds were very comfortable and sheets felt nice. Rooms had good temperature controls.

Lobby was nice as were the staff. Our room wasn't great quite shabby with filthy windows, the worst part was the stench of damp/mildew that was coming from the bathroom and made the whole room stink. The toilet seat was also loose. The hot breakfast was as standard so not bad, not many tables or chairs In the breakfast room though so we took our food back to our room. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. For the money not really worth it.
