Down right disgusting rooms. Very poor customer service. We booked this "Inn" as a last resort - everything else in the town was booked up as it's peak season for the festival. So we were banished (good word in this case) to the motor court section that's the oldest part of the place. As soon as we opened the door we were hit with a wall of damp, humid air that reeked of mold. Our room had no ventilation, and everything looked dated. We immediately went back to the front desk and were given another room - 2 doors down! Of course, the same issue. Our third time at the desk, we were moved to the "Ranch" style motor court (no luck with the main building which looked like it might be half-livable). The ancient-looking air conditioning unit in the hall outside our door had a "not in service" sign on it (never a good sign of what's to come). This time the room lacked the mold smell, but was still damp, humid and badly in need of a reno. It looked like we walked into a "horror at the motel" flick circa 1981, complete with rickety, spring mattress and decaying couch in the corner. At this point it was time for our show at the festival. We didn't even take our suitcases out of the car - and after the show, we promptly said "thanks but no thanks!" to the receptionist, checked out and drove the 3 hours home. You'd think he would ask if everything was all right or why we were checking out at 10pm, but no. It was worth the long drive to be back in our own beds. Note to the management: your "Inn" conditions are borderline a health hazard, and based on your motor court rooms, I'd expect to be paying by the hour and not the night. Please take the $150+ dollars I gave you to fix the A/C, pay someone to come in and check for the mold inevitably in your walls, install a vent - SOMETHING. You should be ashamed of charging anyone to stay here. Show less

The first room we were given reeked of damp mold. We were then moved to a second unit in the same section with the same results. Musty, damp, dingy room. When we were moved to a different section of the Inn it was only slightly less moldy and damp. The bed was easily the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever experienced while traveling. We checked out after we saw the show we were in town for not wanting anything to do with the room we ended up with. There was no follow up, no questions about why we wouldn't be staying. Just a slight grunt from the inept front desk agent. I cannot find words that properly convey how little I recommend this place.

Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great. Pool area was in poor shape. Pool towels were falling apart. Deck area was full of weeds. Hot tub was just warm. Great location and fair price for visiting the Stratford Festival. Would visit again, but do not understand why they don't address the pool area.

It was an alright stay. The rooms were pretty nice, we were a bit worried when it smelled like smoke throughout the halls as we were walking to our rooms but inside our rooms there was no smoke smell. The shower was pretty tiny, one side of me was pressed against a wet shower curtain. There were two sinks in the room which was nice.

The Stratford Festival as an organization is first class. We make reservations in January for the summer months. We had to make a few changes and exchange tickets this year. They were most accommodating and the the whole process was quite easy. We are so lucky to have such first rate live theater just a few hours away!!
