Good price brought us to this hotel. The rooms are nice and the customer service was fantastic. We arrived early and they let us check in. No breakfast provided and in a questionable part of town is the reason for 3 stars.

I stayed here overnight while I was in town for a concert. It appears to have been an apartment that was converted to a long-term stay hotel. With six floors worth of rooms, it was a good stay for what I needed. There was a kitchenette that I did not use. Not the most modern looking place, but it served its purpose. My only qualm was that the room didn't have a fridge.

Very nice rooms. Clean and updated even though it doesn't look like from the outside. Rates are reasonable for the area.

Rooms recently renovated... Right downtown close to the Kensington market and Chinatown... It did the job

I was really unhappy with the experience of staying at this hotel. The first night I was there I was kept awake until 2am by other guests shouting in the corridors, arguing with each other, moving luggage in and out of the hotel nosily on a trolley, even vacuuming (not sure how they would have got into the cleaner's room but there you go)! I was actually concerned to leave my room. At 6am it started again. When I went to the front office to discuss it, I got a response telling me that these guests were a big problem, and that they would be leaving that afternoon, which was fine, but there was no apology, no recognition of the fact that security and safety are the hotel's responsibility. The room was worn-down and in need of renovation, the windows were not secure and the staff seemed completely disinterested. One didn't know where the laundry facilities were, another completely misspelt my name on the account/invoice, meaning I had to get a letter written by yet another staff member. I get the fact that the hotel is in a downtown neighbourhood where sometimes unpredictable things can happen, but the overwhelming impression I got was that the staff at this place were just going through the motions of running a franchise. Would not recommend anyone to stay here, or any other Studio 6 property, to be completely honest. As I don't really expect to receive a response to this review, I will also post it in some other places.
