Super comfortable beds, real cotton sheets, awesome pillows, no cleaning chemicals or air freshener stink in the room, great breakfast (they actually know how to make scrambled eggs right!), and to top it off, backs right onto the river with a peaceful green oasis, feels like being at the cottage rather than in the middle of a city. After enduring five horrible nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Moncton, this was the first good sleep I had in almost a week, the air conditioner was whisper-quiet the way it should be! Has a fitness room, pool and hot tub, and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful imaginable. I absolutely love this place, having been at plenty of other hotels that are nowhere near as good. This is my third time staying at this hotel and from now on I'm going to go out of my way to stay here even though it's only 2 hours from my home, and I'm still totally thrilled I decided to stop here on my way from Toronto rather than push the rest of the way home. Top marks all the way!

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff. Nice rooms with complementary breakfast. Made use of the boat launch. Easy access to the Trent Severn Waterway. They also let us leave our boat trailer and truck for a few days at no charge. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Our family booked ring two rooms for two nights to attend a friends wedding. We always stay at a Best Western if available as we are assured of a comfortable bed and a good hot breakfast. The hotel in Otonabee was no exception. Unfortunately we had no heat in the first room but we were moved immediately into another room. It didn’t have a balcony or a nice view and only one bed (we prefer twin beds) but at least the heat worked. We found the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful during our stay, especially Jim and Kate. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. One other bonus was that there is a fine family restaurant right next door with good food and nice staff.

My wife and I stayed here for a getaway on our 45th anniversary. All staff were very helpful and professional from check in to check out. Restaurants are close and activities not far away. Grounds were very peaceful beside the water, something my wife and I enjoy.
