I come to Windjammer every summer for a Family Reunion. It's not the fanciest place but what I love most about it is watching the boats in the river at sunset. My kids love the pool. And there are picnic tables for the whole family to congregate for meals. The negatives are the steps and treacherous concrete. Makes it really difficult for the older members of our group.

My family has stayed here many times over the past 5 to 6 years when visiting family in the area. It is a traditional road side motel off of NY-37 just west of Ogdensburg. Half of the rooms face the road and the other half look out at the St. Lawrence river. There is a pool half way down the bank to the river that the kids enjoy swimming in. But depending on the time of year it can be rather cold. The rooms are basic motel rooms. They have window AC units that adequately cool the rooms. The rooms half been updated over the years as much as would make sense to do so for the type of motel it is and locale. There are picnic tables and adorandack chairs for guests to use too. The employees half always been pleasant and helpful. We always enjoy our time here.
