Not a 4-star hotel, as I did not mind one bit traipsing through the lobby in my smelly & grubby hiking gear. This is a very nice 3-star hotel, with several dining options to choose from, as well as the adjoining mall. The fresh market is nice, a farmer market round the corner, and at least 3 Tims within walking distance. I enjoyed the lake view, and the rooftop patio. Had to request a refrigerator (delivered within 5 minutes!) which seems unusual to me to NOT have a fridge/micro in room. Staff was polite and courteous. I appreciated the secure parking, and needing to use my room key to access the upper floors. I would have like to see a good list of nearby dining & attractions. I have no reason to not stay there again.

We stayed at the Sheraton for 5 nights and chose the corner room with a view., king bed and pull out couch. We found the room very poorly laid out - when you use the pull out couch it connects to the side of the bed which meant one person in the king bed had to either crawl over the couch bed or crawl over the other person beside them, to get to the washroom in the night. No easy chair as in the website picture which would have made sitting in front of the window with a view much nicer. The shower is set up a bit odd - the door at the front where the shower head and controls are, is fixed, so you have to open the far door and try to reach way in to get to the controls, and get a blast of cold water each time. No way around it, but after day 2 we got smarter and quicker at turning it on. Anyone with OCD would be driven crazy by the large picture on the wall that was half behind the TV. The room - which we had upgraded to at a cost, really needs work. Our request for a microwave made a month prior to our stay was not complied with and when we asked about it on our arrival, we were told the hotel is booked. none available. The Pool and hot tub were really nice - no lounge chairs as in the website photo - just upright chairs. Cleaning staff were friendly and accommodating. The king bed was very comfortable and a nice variety of pillows. Not a 4 star hotel. The location was a main reason for booking but we will be looking into some of the new hotels in the downtown core for next year.

Stayed there while I attended a conference. It is great that there is a pedestrian covered walk connecting the hotel and conference centre. Clean rooms and nice views. I had such comfortable nights. Best sleep I have had at a hotel. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you visit Hamilton... you should stay here. Highly recommended.

Experience was okay, but definitely not 4 stars. In the upgraded king corner room, there is no bathtub, only a shower. One of the drinking glasses in my room was broken upon arrival, kind of a concern. Overall cleanliness was good. Room service is delivered with a plastic cloche that has a hole in it... needless to say my omelette was cold by its arrival. Beds are very comfortable!

The line to check in on Saturday was extremely long! There was only one attendant and since check-in was 3pm I was really surprised that there wasn't more attendants serving guests at this time. Poor planning. However the bed and the room were awesome. Bed was super comfy. No complaints about the room. check out was much quicker.
