We booked for 2 nights while attending an on-site wedding anniversary. We arrived at 3 check in with the party starting at 5: We did not have the time to get another room at a different hotel. The room was approximately 85 degrees F, the air conditioning did not cool the suite nor, at a minimum, the sitting room where the small wall unit was located. We left the air on and upon return at 9:30 the sitting room was not cooling down. The sink drain was blocked up and barely worked. The bathroom vents did not work in the bathroom - covered with dust/debris, the toilet had wet urine spots and private part hair on it. - the lighting fixtures were full of insect carcasses. In general, I don't think anyone to clean the room. The staff was trying to be helpful and offered the adjoining suite; however, the Air conditioning did not work in that room, and they were going to call to have it fixed... we stayed in the original room. They brought up a fan. When the fan was placed in the bed area -it blew hot air. The fireplace was emitting hot air. We opened the thermostat control the adjustment arm was broke off at mid-point, obliviously never looked at-the switch was off, the remaining hot air could have been from the fireplaces pilot light? The fan was moved. We spent the night in this sub- par room. We left first thing the next morning to the local Holiday Inn on Ontario street - in comparison, the Holiday Inn is a 10-star facility. On a positive note, the food at the anniversary party was great. .

My daughter and I had a nice stay at this hotel while we toured the area. Staff were very helpful. The room was nice and I was surprised to find that it also had a balcony. They have a Don Cherry's bar as well as their own restaurant. We used both. Service was good and so was the food. Decently priced too. For the price it was much nicer than I was expecting. If you are looking for a discount hotel this one should meet your expectations.

Stayed here for a wedding in early June and we were charged a lot more than usual for a room. A note was left in our room not to open the patio door because our room would be infested with black flies. Small bathroom but clean. Room itself was clean, but we found drinks in the fridge leftover from the previous guest. Friendly staff, indoor pool. No elevators, no room service (but a couple of restaurants next door). Great view.

Not recommended. Rooms are dated. No elevators. Air conditioning not working properly. Management almost sold our rooms because we were late coming from a wedding after we told them we would be late. Not impressed! Best Western in St Catharines is a much better option!
