Wonderful Staff friendly helpful and available all hours. When the snow and ice started we returned to find the heater unit on and our room warm. Room size was small and cozy not good if you plan on just staying in the room. however we were only on the room at night so it was perfect for our needs. Would consider staying again

The stay in the hotel was good, room was all we needed for our stay. The reason for the low star rating is due to a single staff member who was incredibly rude and condescending. We noticed during their breakfast time slot that the coffee cups were running low. My wife went to the front desk to make them aware of this, and the front desk staff apologized (which was not needed) and said that he would get some more cups. The staff person he called to refill the cups came into the breakfast area, opened the storage cupboard below the breakfast counter and said 'I guess the person who asked you for the cups didn't look too hard, because there is a ton of cups here in the cupboard!' in front of my wife in a very rude, condescending and inappropriate manner. Which made my wife feel very awkward and uncomfortable. I do not know why it is assumed we, as guests, should be rummaging through closed cupboards and find items that do not belong to us. But like I said, the hotel was nice and the room offered everything we needed for our stay; with all the staff (minus the one very unprofessional staff member) were very nice and welcoming.

DO NOT GET FOOLED BY FREE PARKING. Very rude hotel staff especially the front desk. Nowhere in the hotel's website does it mention that parking is limited and that the customer has to pay to park in an open municipal lot. The front desk personnel claimed it's on the website or in the fine print while booking. Even while confirming the booking on the hotel's website, there is no mention of it in the fine print. There's a small board on the front desk that says parking is the customers responsibility if the hotel's 37 car lot is full. This was not mentioned to me while checking in either.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They don't understand the concept of customer service and they definitely don't appreciate their customers.  My boyfriend and I made reservations using a third party website for a 1 night stay at Days Inn for Saturday, June 30th. My boyfriend always reserves and pays for the hotel online using Visa Debit. After spending a fun filled afternoon at Woodbine Beach; we decided to head to the hotel so that we could check in. Upon arrival at around 5:45-6:00pm, we gave the receptionist our name and our booking ID number, along with the Visa Debit card we had booked with. The male receptionist said they only accepted credit cards as a deposit and that a Visa Debit or cash deposit would not be accepted. We told him that we were not informed about this at the time of booking and that we only had our Visa Debit on us or else cash. He further explained that only credit cards would be acceptable as a deposit, but upon check out we could use our Visa Debit to pay. Once again, we made it clear that this information was not mentioned on the website at the time of booking. He continued to say the same thing, we do not accept Visa Debit, we require a credit card. We told him yet again that we did not have our credit cards on us and to offer suggestions on what we should do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said the supervisor had left for the day. Then again, I asked what our options were and all he could say is "Sorry I can't do anything." After awhile he suggested we go to a different Days Inn hotel instead because they might allow us to deposit with Visa Debit. I suggested he call the hotel on our behalf. Our phone batteries were nearly dead and after arguing with him, he finally decided to call the other location. He called and advised us that there were no more rooms available. Next, we asked for the name and number of the supervisor and if we could contact him via phone. All this happened during a long weekend and it was impossible to find an inexpensive hotel near the beach. We called that number 3-4 times and no one picked up. We struggled for half an hour trying to understand how we could resolve the issue. However, the receptionist was useless and of no help. We ended up booking elsewhere and paid nearly double the price. The receptionist was unwilling to help and had no interest in offering solutions. He had our ID's, what more do you need as a form of collateral? Talk about LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!  Although signage was posted at the actual hotel regarding payment options, it was unclear on the website. All of this could have been avoided had we known this in advance. Not only was our beach day cut short, we weren't able to attend the beach the next day because we had to book with a different hotel much further away. Time was wasted and we were forced to go over budget for such a short trip.  Thanks for ruining our weekend trip. We will never be staying at this hotel chain ever again. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL.
