For 3 years we have been celebrating our birthday and anniversary at Port Huron at the Double Tree Resort, we have never had an issue until our most recent trip on 6-22-18. We made reservations in March (3-24-18) For two rooms at $261.00 per room, asking for water view, together IF possible. We were told this would not be a problem. Upon arrival we were told we had two rooms facing the parking lot. I told "Emma" this was not acceptable, the very reason I made reservations almost 3 months in advance was to have a water view. we were told sorry there was nothing they could do as all the rooms were full (which we later found out, they were not). We went to our room and attempted to contact corporate which immediately rang back to the front desk, again we were told there was nothing they could do. We were getting ready to exit our room when we were called back by the desk and told that we could have a free breakfast and $26.00 off our room. So we paid $472.00 and were given scrambled eggs to make amends for their poor management. It was frustrating, upsetting and we got a view of a parking lot. We will not be going back.
