This Comfort Inn was a blessing to us for a long and miserable drive from Calgary to Toronto. After a long, treacherous night in stormy weather (literally only being able to see 3 feet in front of your windshield) reaching this Comfort Inn was probably best thing that happened during the endeavour to Toronto and back. We stayed at this location after a 17 hour drive from Brandon, we were met with such hospitality and kindness it was refreshing. On our way back from Toronto we stayed there again and once again was met with hospitality and I must add the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Whenever we make it to The SOO again this is where we’ll stay. Thanks for the great service!

Staff is great! Rooms are clean and new terrace for the rear lower rooms looks great. Nice addition to the hotel.

Everything was great but we got in late, just before midnight. I had already reserved the room and paid online for it. The night clerk was on the phone when I got there. I heard her half of the conversation so I know it wasn't a customer on the other line. She made me wait over 5 minutes before she finally said to her friend "Well I have to left you go I have a guest to check in." I was tired and didn't need any hassles so I took the room key and went to bed unhappy. If I ever have to stop in Sault Ste Marie I will definitely think twice before I go to the Comfort Inn. Just increased to 4 stars because I was going to stop there again over a year later because they are pet friendly and I was going to southern Ontario to pick up a puppy. I made the reservation for a ground floor room/pet friendly room for myself and my travelling partner. As it turned out though I didn't go (due to the flu) but my grandson/travelling partner went and said everything went well. Just an FYI make sure you reserve your room well ahead of time because they go fast and a lot of the other places will allow dogs but only service pets.

Came into the soo later in the evening on a Saturday night. The desk clerk was a fantastic help. Room was clean and comfy. The breakfast in the morning was great for the price. Yes it was in the cost of the room. So al in alll for the price I recommend this stop.
