The cottage was clean and exactly what you expect of a cottage (second-hand furniture, broken up layout, small kitchen, etc). Most essentials were provided but lacked other necessities, like bathroom soap. The location is amazing, about 200m from the main Beach and 400m from the main street. The interactions with the property manager were a bit awkward because we booked online and it felt like it was a new process for them, I'm sure with time the kinks will work themselves out.

Terrible experience tommy was a very racist individual. Upon seeing me with my braids told me to smoke weed outside which was funny beacuse i have never smoked weed in my life. The cottage we received was not what was advertised..ours said sleeps 10 but this 1 barely slept 8 and we had 9 people. It showed 2 washrooms but open arrival only had 1 which was surprising. He argued with us for over 10 minutes until we realized it was no point arguing with this stubborn man. Also when checking out he held 40 dollars off the deposit saying it wasnt cleaned properly when the place was swept and vacuumed. He was just finding ways to make money. Lets not forget he had a stupid tv from 1997. It wasnt even a hd tv. Also every single bed needed a new mattress but "tommy" would just rather maximize his capital and not properpy maintain the place. Will never go back to this rude arrogant man.

Ever since we found Beachside in 2005 we've been back every year. The manager is friendly and very accommodating. It's right across the street from the beach and the area provides an absolutely gorgeous view of the famous sunsets! The cottages I've stayed in with my family have always been well maintained and well stocked. He just asks that before you check-out that the dishes are done and the cottage is tidied to the state it was when you first arrived - nothing a little sweeping can't take care of. My family is returning to Beachside next week and we can't wait! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, and in fact I have.
