I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast two separate occasions. The first time was for two nights, three days. We enjoyed our stay. Staff: The male is friendly and somewhat quiet. Smiles a lot. The female is friendly, a bit more outgoing, and firmer. Environment: The ambiance is cozy, and homey. Like a well read book, or your favourite sweater on a cool fall night. The porch is nice for reading, and there are comfortable benches to sit on. The lounge room is a large living room with a television. Food: We enjoyed that the breakfast was fairly diverse, including cereal, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, coffee, tea, yogurt and toast. Room: We loved how each room had it's own washroom. Each room has its own unique shabby chic style to it. Our room was clean. Negatives: •The basin in our washrooms had two separate taps for cold, and hot. It's one, or the other. The taps were not long enough to reach the middle of the sink, so when you wash your hands you are touching the side of the sink. •Breakfast ends a bit too early, at 9:30 am. It should be 10:00, or 10:30 am. •It is a tad bit too expensive for a small room ($130 a night on a weekend). It should be no more than $100 per night.

Windspire is just a very pleasant place with comfort and style. Access to the waterfront is a short walk away. Rooms are spacious, continental breakfast with lots of choices, common room very welcoming with large screen television. Free wifi throughout.

One of the best little b&bs I’ve ever been to. The service was down to earth and professional, the breakfast selection was delicious and their little garden out back was peaceful and well kept. Our family will definitely be back, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone going to Port Elgin!

Such a welcoming environment. My boyfriend and I drove quite a distance to come here for the weekend and we were not disappointed :). Clean, friendly staff and very cozy. Definitely will be back again!!

Great location. Friendly owners. Needs some updates to fully merit the cost.
