Very clean and cozy. With all the personalized touches, you can tell the owner takes pride.

Old style motel that is very well maintained & rooms are clean. We have stayed here for the past 4 or so years on our way up to Canada. Great location / close to the border. We’ve stayed at some hotels on the way up that were either quite expensive or dumps. The Hilltop is great for our group. At $100a night on a Friday, it’s a little high compared to what I pay when I’m on the road for my sales calls - but this is the going rate in International Falls on a Friday night in the summer. Just make sure to reserve your room as far out as Barb will let you. This motel always sells out on those Fridays!

Very clean and cozy. Highly recommend. Did not see the Northern Lights, so that sucks. I suppose that's not the motel's fault, but the cloud coverage ?? Perhaps I was looking South ??? 🌒🌠🌟⭐🌛

When I travel to small towns, I like to give the "real local" businesses my spend. I picked this hotel and I got pretty much what I expected. This is better than camping, but certainly not up to the standards of national chains like Hampton Inn. The room was small with a little round table so no real work surface. The bed was too soft for my taste and the shower felt small. The place has the appearance of the owners doing their best to keep it up, but is showing its age. For International Falls, this is a very good place. There really isn't much that is better so comparatively, this was charming and good. The owners were friendly and helpful. The main disappointment is the quality of the towels. It seems to be about as cheap as they come. Please upgrade the towels. For our purposes -- staying here while visiting Voyeugers National Park -- it was fine.
