Very comfortable bed and high quality linens, well laid out room design, though the room and bathroom was a bit smaller than I expected. Room, hallways and common areas kept very clean and the breakfast was amazing with a wide selection of choices kept well stocked. Pool was kept clean and at a comfortable temperature. Most of all, the staff were super friendly, always with a smile and greeting. Would stay again when I the area.

Room is spacious and comfortable. All the equipment to prepare meals in room. There is room for improvement regarding the breakfast buffet. Plastic cutlery provided is too flimsy to be effective (bring a knife and fork from your room) The butter packets are frozen, so buttering toast is a challenge; practically impossible with a flimsy Plastic knife.

I had a very disappointing stay at this Marriott in Thunder Bay. This was by far the worst Marriott experience I've had. From the moment we checked in, there were multiple issues. The room had no shampoo, and despite asking three separate times to three different front desk staff members, it was provided on Day 3. On the first day, the TV wasn't working either. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. The room was cleaned on the first day, but there was no housekeeping service on the second or third day. Breakfast was another letdown. They used plastic cutlery, there was no microwave available in or near the breakfast area to heat milk, and after 8:30 a.m. many breakfast items were not refilled even though breakfast service was still ongoing. Overall, the hotel appears to be understaffed, and customer service needs significant improvement. Unbelievable that Mariott would attach their name to this hotel. If you're looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay, I would recommend choosing a different hotel.

Stayed at the TownePlace Suites during a recent trip and had an excellent experience. The front desk service from Jay was outstanding, and the entire staff was friendly and quick to respond to any requests throughout my stay. The rooms are modern and well updated, with large flatscreen TVs and all the amenities you need for an extended stay. The kitchenette setup was especially convenient and made the stay feel comfortable and practical. Overall, a very clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I expected a much nicer hotel with a Marriott name. The room was dirty; sheets were stained, walls were greasy, pink mildew on the shower curtian, pots had residue floating when I filled it with water. Very gross. Breakfast was a nightmare, I stuck to coffee. On the plus side, Jay was great at the front desk and the laundry room was clean and the machines worked.
