Family friendly atmosphere with a pool and beach to enjoy. The rooms and cottages offer a peaceful night's sleep without the high prices that tourist areas sometimes have. The owner ensures any issues that may arise are taken care of with urgency so that everyone is able to enjoy their stay without any mishaps. The majority of the people that come to stay at Lanz have been coming for many years and continue to come back. Please consider taking the negative reviews with a grain of salt. The families that have been coming for 26 or more years wouldn't be coming back if the place was that awful. As far as the recent bed bug review that was posted, it is important to remember that those staying in cottages bring their own bedding and the rooms and cottages are thoroughly cleaned between each stay. We do have docks that are above water and are easily accessible. Unfortunately, the lumber that was purchased to repair any docks that had issues was used to make a bonfire by those that are leaving negative feedback. Please feel free to contact the front office at Lanz for any clarification on the negative reviews that have been left, as we have documentation verifying the bed bug issues is just a lie that an unhappy guest made to make themselves feel better.

I would like to say that this is a family owned business and the owner does everything he can for his customers. Does stuff happen?? Yes it's an older place but it is ALWAYS taken care of. He bends over backwards for people. Also there have been TWO inspectors now and there are no bed bugs. They were beetles. And if it is so bad why did people STAY and not leave? People get angry and say the most hatred stuff. And the docks were under water. And he built temporary docks for people to use. And his lumber to fix the docks were burned in a bonfire that he was unaware of. And for the people who have been coming for years and years and now feeding into this rumor is absurd!!! Please get all the facts straight before you destroy a business that has been here since the 1940s. This "RUMOR"r will ruin a local small town business and noone needs that. If u don't enjoy this place don't come because there are plenty more people who absolutely love this place. Have a blessed day 😇

Lanz was okay. I stayed here with 5 of my girls for my bachelorette weekend. We stayed 2 nights. The first night we stayed in one of the motels, we had 2 rooms. First, when we showed up the lady at the front desk was so rude and made us feel uneasy. She told us ‘if there’s anything in there that’s not supposed to be, don’t tell me.’ The first night we were in there one of the toilets cracked! Nobody was on it, someone was just walking near the toilet! Thankfully they did move us to a cottage, no extra charge. After we moved out of the motel rooms, we went to go turn those keys in and the same lady from the night before said ‘ugh now what do you want?’ Needless to say, if I come back I am not staying here. Poor customer service and sketchy rooms.
