MY gf and I had a nice time here. The owner had an emergency to deal with, and so when we arrived, she was not there. But she left us a detailed note explaining which room was ours, and the keys. We had no problem getting settled in. Our room ("Asian Room") was simple but clean. Two relatively minor problems of note: the window-mounted air conditioner was right beside the bed, and had an extremely loud condenser. I switched it to fan mode, and since it was a chillier night, it wasn't a problem. But if it was sweltering and you needed the A/C, it's going to be noisy. Other issue was the hot water: it eventually stabilizes, but you have to run the shower for a few minutes before it does so. In the morning, I woke to the smell of fresh bacon. Heading downstairs we met the owner, who was quite nice. The breakfast served was EXTREMELY tasty: toast, delicious jam, eggs cooked to order (with nifty little spices), savory bacon, a home-made salad of peppers and tomatoes, fruit, and yogurt with granola. It was great and we got to chat with the other guests over the meal. If you're in the area, this is a good place to stay :)

Quaint B&B right across the road from the Trent River in the town of Hastings. Close to the downtown. We recommend a meal at McGillicafeys Pub.....top notch! Elise whipped up an amazing breakfast and was a very friendly and gracious host. We will be back!!

Such a great place for an overnight or two ... within walking distance of some great food joints and the Trans Canada Trail. The inn keeper is so kind. You will enjoy your stay.
