Trevor is amazing! The place is beautiful, couldnt possibility oversell it. Do yourself a favour and check it out. We had our wedding there and people still talk about how beautiful it was and how impressed they were with Trevor and his hard work and positive attitude. 10/10

I surprised my wife with a birthday night-away at the Black River Retreat, a first visit for us both. The BRR offered a perfectly relaxing, and not-too-far-but-far-enough getaway from our busy lives in Toronto. The cottage/house is spacious, comfortable, and warm -- situated beautifully a stone's throw above the Black River itself. The food was freshly prepared and decadent in taste. The owner & operator, Trevor, has truly put his heart and soul into ensuring a detail-oriented and romantic experience for his couple-guests. We look forward to returning again soon. Recommended.
