Well located if your are visiting the Laurier University campus or the UW campus. Also, there are plenty of food choices and coffee stores around.

Overall OK place to live but don’t expect to get any sleep with all the drunken students living there with you. The upper years who are in charge of each floor do not do anything to stop the foolishness that occurs in the hallways and the rooms beside you. St. Patrick’s Day was ridiculous. Students were vomiting in the hallways and it was a complete mess.

It's hard to know what score to give Hotel Laurier because for what it is, they do it well, , the prices are very affordable, but the accommodations are student dorm calibre. The place is clean (but stained and worn in some spots) and quiet. The decor is cinder-block special. The mattresses are four inches of vinyl covered foam. You share a washroom with one other room -- although no one was in the other room while I was there. Decent wi-fi by hotel standards -- no ethernet. There is a shared kitchen and lounge with a fridge and stove. You are on your own in terms of maid service, but there are friendly students on the registration desk. Please note, this is summer-semester accommodation only as it is university dorms the rest of the year.
