We stayed two nights, in one room, and our friends two nights in another room. Here's the good and bad: GOOD: Clean, Quiet, spacious, convenient. Very Good: Extremely friendly and welcoming staff BAD; Look, it's an old hotel, so the wallpaper is peeling off in a few places, and it is showing it's age. Our friend's door lock was not working, causing some inconvenience. SUMMARY: Despite the age, they are doing their best and we would stay there again. Especially at that price.

We learned that there was new ownership over the past 3 months, however the front desk staff and maintenance man were the only positive part of our experience. When we arrived to our room we realized our door did not lock. Front desk sent up maintenance to fix our door while we occupied the room which made us late to a conference as we couldn’t left our stuff in an unlocked room unattended. Secondly we had no cable set up so he had to come back and set that up for us ( he was a very hard worker!!) our room was dirty, the sheets had stains and there was dirt on the floor. We then went to make a morning coffee and the coffee pods didn’t fit the coffee maker. The whole experience for the price was disappointing. Staff seemed to be stressed out and were upset in the hallways, some crying. I felt bad for asking them to do extra as they looked stressed enough. Again I know there is new ownership so hopefully this will all get resolved.

A/C was not working in the hottest day of the year. Sent someone to fix it and then it took a long time to feel it starting to get a bit cold.

Came with the family for the long weekend. Only a 15 minute drive from Niagara. Visited Seaway Mall. Good value for the location. Cheaper option if visiting Niagara.

All in all a good stay for the price. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Bed was a bit stiff, but fluffy pillows. About 30 minutes from Niagara Falls. A bit of an odd smell when you walk in to the room. We were able to use the HDMI in the TV. On the first floor you can drive your car up to the sliding door to load/unload. There was obviously work done on the rooms, but the screw holes and discoloration were left on the walls where whatever used to be there was. Furniture is a bit outdated. There is a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast had toast, bagels, English muffins, cereal, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice, oatmeal, and bananas, though you can ask for waffles or French toast apparently.
