The end is a beautifully restored set of homes on Ferry Street in the Museum District in Detroit. The Furnishings were gorgeous and there was a very good free breakfast in the morning. The staff was lovely and the Inn is close to public transit that runs late. My only complaint is that we couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature in the room, and the air conditioning was a little cold. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.

We stayed two nights and loved the accommodations and the breakfast. We used the shuttle a few times and found it to be a great asset to our stay. The Inn is in the heart of the cultural center and you can walk to the main museums and great restaurants and some shopping. The area is great for walking and exploring and the homes in the area are architectural treasures. I highly recommend The Inn on Ferry Street and would definitely stay there again. There was a wonderful, warm and cozy parlor in the house we stayed in and it had a great library. Beautifully restored victorian era homes feature elegant suites, the latest modern amenities and easy access to Downtown and Midtown Detroit hot spots.

The Inn on Ferry Street is an interesting concept for a hostelry located in a busy metropolis. It combines the quaint atmosphere of a tranquil bed and breakfast, along with the range of amenities you would typically find in your run of the mill hotel or inn, situated within an urban center. The entire compound is comprised of restored Victorian homes and a couple carriage houses ( I believe the place consists of six mansions, with about forty individual rooms or suites). If you are a fan of fascinating American architecture, Detroit is the city for you and the Inn itself is a prime example, as the restored mansions typify some rather lovely architectural flourishes. Having stayed here for a couple of nights, it certainly feels as if you have been encased in a cocoon of history. The furniture, the decor, even the very sounds of the building as it settles down in the night have the tinge of historicity. The inn's mid-town location ensures that you are in close proximity to many of the city's cultural attractions (e.g., museums, sporting arenas, concert venues, opera house, symphony orchestra) and to Detroit's downtown area, which is getting better and better as the years go by. The introduction of a light rail system, the QLine makes exploring these attractions even more convenient. A leisurely, westward stroll, down Ferry Street, takes you to Woodward Avenue, where you can catch the light rail and within some fifteen minutes you will be taken right to the waterfront district in the city, full of eateries and such. Additionally, Woodward Avenue is a large thoroughfare along which are situated many of Detroit's cultural draws. I can not speak on the issue of room service, as I did not use that service but I imagine it is excellent, like everything else. This was a great place to stay and I would happily recommend it to anyone.

Beautifully restored turn of the century houses. Our room was large with large bathroom and separate little desk/coffee area. This is a B&B with an excellent breakfast served until 11 am. Two things: no fridge/microwave in room and this isn't a place for folks who have difficulty with stairs as there are no elevators. So ask for 1st floor rooms. Well worth the stay!

I found my stay pleasant enough. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. I found the antique décor alluring. The environment is quiet and the staff are personable. Very convenient for conference accommodation in the area.
