Would hv given zero if wasn’t for those really nice hotel staff.
Not a big fan of this hotel as I have no choice (company assigned). All hotels I stayed in provide universal adapter for loan or with some deposit. Apparently they don’t even loan universal adaptor. When asked, he (guy in glasses, dark hair) said snobbishly they only sell, don’t loan. I forgot mine back home, so I had to buy a cheaper one from the mall nearby (reap off if buying from the hotel).
No fixed/frequent shuttle bus provided to the nearby malls, u need to arrange for a bigger group then you could book for one. The driver dropped us off 300meter away walking in the hot sun (90) as he said they need to continue to the airport.
Then please don’t tell me it’s the bus to the mall. We could get Uber.
Info: They have free shuttle bus to the airport every 30mins but with booking?!?! Still wondering if it’s true.
Past 2330hr, no more room-service nor restaurant still accepting guest (open till only 2230hr), there was this Indian-looking female staff at the Check-in counter who not only did not offer to get free hot water for my instant cup noodles (bought from the hotel little store), when I asked, she said it’s not provided. I wonder why they even bother to place a microwave there. When I asked her to help ask the waiter standing across the lobby for some the hot water, she said I need to go ask the restaurant myself. Seriously, just few steps away with no hotel guest waiting for her to attend to?!?! She didn’t even offer me fork or chopsticks for the noodles.
So am I expected to pay for hot water and rental fee for the fork (like how they don’t even loan the adaptor)?!?!
Anyway, not to further aggravate or embarrass myself, I ate the noodles using the ‘stirrers’ from the tea/coffee pack in the room.
When I asked the shuttle bus driver if I need to call them for pick up from airport, he said yes. When asked how to make the call, he said simply approach any other bus drivers waiting there.
So I did. I asked around few bus drivers and airport staff before one finally helped me called the hotel to ask for a shuttle pick to come pick me up from the airport. But when the bus arrived, so many people waiting there got on the bus. While waiting, I don’t see any of them (arriving after me) making any call. So why the hell that driver told me to call when I asked if there is a need to call or if it’s half-hourly provided?!?!
However, on a positive note, a white female staff kindly followed me to the room as there was a problem with the keycard on my arrival day. Perhaps I could have called for her using the phone near the elevators upstairs than going down to the lobby as there wasn’t any camera or CCTV “watching” my suitcase (outside the room/floor). Anyway I went down to have my keycard checked.
In fact I observed all the Caucasian staff there were really nice and polite. Every single one of them. There was also this African lady for house-keeping: super sweet/polite and gentle on making up other rooms. Most housekeepers are really noisy. Overall, am not trying to be a racist, just stating facts based on the few days stay and observations in this hotel (5 stars for these excellent staff that I encountered). Well, you be the judge if you are going to stay there, or stayed there before.
