Pros (would have been 5 stars if just based on these things): Staff was very friendly. Located very close to the highway. Because we were on 1st floor, it was nice to have 2 access entrances (indoor and outdoor with parking available right in front of our door). Continental breakfast was simple but decent. We had a small fridge and microwave in our room which was handy. Cons: the comforter on one of the beds smelled funky, then when we pulled off the top sheets, there was a small brown stain on the fitted sheet which smelled like feces :( Called front desk immediately (around 10pm) and the sheets were quickly removed. We were offered either a new room or to have access to the room right beside (with shared door - we chose that option as it was simpler than changing rooms with children in tow). Other smaller issues included: one electrical outlet was loose and did not support the microwave plug unless held in place (we didn’t end up using microwave so it wasn’t an issue for us) and one of the tall lamps was missing the knob to turn it on. All reported to front desk. The sheets were dealt with immediately & they were apologetic, but still hard to get that image out of my mind. Seems like this is not a regular issue, just unfortunate it happened at all.

Room looks to have been renovated. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant right next door. I have a pick up with a 30' trailer and had to park in behind the gas station two doors over but very short distance. Brenda at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

I always stay here when travelling to and from PEI to Toronto. It is a great halfway point on my journey. The rooms are basic but clean. If there isn't a fridge or microwave in your room there is access in the common area. The staff are super friendly and English speaking. The best part is they are pet friendly. It costs $20 more but it is always a struggle to find a motel that allows dogs.
