I lived dozens of hotels and I have always been a fan of Marriott. But this one is the worst I have ever seen. The room is large, but the layout is weird and makes me feel uncomfortable. There are loud noises from the bathroom and the air conditioner. The bed sheet has some dirt on it so I have to take the sheet off. The sewer of the tub is clogged. After I took the shower, the water in the tub is almost 10 cm high. The valet parking is 30 CAD per day and mandatory. I planed one day in Montreal so I didn't want to waste my time to argue about this.

Checked in very fast, staff exceptional in terms of knowledge and ideas of things to do. A/C wasn't working properly in room on arrival, ten minutes later after a maintenance chap all fixed. The pool on the first floor is small but very clean. Breakfast has a reasonable choice being a buffet. Again staff during these times are brilliant.

Arrived to Montreal today and booked a room with SpringHill Suites last minute. The staff downstairs were very very friendly and super helpful. They were able to accomodate my girlfriend and I to have a room near our friends that way we're all close together during our stay. The two front desk ladies were also helpful to help us find fun things to do during our stay. Overall this hotel twice now this year is exactly what keeps me coming back to Montreal and want to stay here. Definitely worth spending the price to stay here during my visit and I would highly encourage anyone to stay here!

We booked this hotel because it was close to the Notre Dame Basilica (4 minute walk). We planned to watch the Aura light show at the Basilica, and a place close by would be perfect. As a bonus, since it was located in Old Montreal, it was also at walking distance to the waterfront. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room with 2 double beds and sofa was very roomy for three of us. It was clean, complete with fridge, microwave oven, and coffee maker. They have valet parking, and the parking garage was right next to the hotel. Very convenient. In the morning, breakfast had everything we need, although the turkey bacon was not the best. It was so dry, it tasted like cardboard, sorry. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.
