Friendly staff have always provided us with great personal service. Whether we opt for their kits, or bring in our own fruit, the product is always superb!

We have been making our wine at McBarley's now since we moved to Chemainus three years ago. In all our years of going to breweries they are by far the best we have been to. They are such a friendly group of people and are always ready to help. The whole establishment is always so clean and organized. That is a big plus with us. Make sure you try them. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Fran & Tony Stevens

There's no finer craft cider anywhere in the Cowichan Valley and beyond! McBarley's is our community's go-to great place for individualized & unique cider and wine. Staff will help you to transform your fruit into creative custom beverages. The service is superb and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The products are simply amazing! I've tried them all and they are top-notch for quality and taste! Check them out! You will be so happy that you discovered this little gem!

I recently brought in grapes to have made into wine with McBarley's. The woman, I believe her name is Courtney, was very helpful and friendly even though we made a mistake while bottling as it was our first time. They were organized, clean, and worked around our schedule for drop off and pick up as we were driving in from Nanaimo. The wine tastes great too.

We have had great luck making cider at Duncan McBarleys. We have some apple trees and bring in 100lb batches to make cider. It always turns out exactly how we like it. From what I understand, they have a faster grinder now so that it is easier to get the batch started.
