Loved this wine! Great overall experience. The tasting room is set among a beautiful backdrop, really friendly service, family owned with a great story (loved the hugging tree the winery is named after!). We especially loved the red, but I was pleasantly surprised by the white which isn't usually my preference but may have been my favourite. Worth stopping for a tasting for sure, I'll be buying this brand at my local wine store.

Loved their merlot, VERY reasonable prices given the vintage and quality. Wonderful view and customer service!

Great winery, friendly family runs the place. Great place to stop for Merlot.

This winery is average/below average, it is better to pick another one instead of this one from those lots of wineries that are in the region. There was a weird lady who did the tasting, but she wasn't helpful, interested or happy, she didn't really care about how we feel about the winery, or being there. The winery got its name from a tree which branches intertwined in a way that it looks like the branches are hugging each other. But apart from seeing a picture of it after we asked about it, no information was provided where the tree can be seen, even though we were excited, but the customer service was so poor, that she felt like not talking anymore and serve other visitors. Fun fact, that from those approx. 8 wines that were offered, it wasn't possible to taste 3 of them, because: "Sometimes there are not enough guests so we prefer not to open the bottles." My question is how can you expect to purchase any of those more expensive bottles if tasting them is not allowed? The wines that we tasted were not very remarkably good either. We purchased a mediocre white one as a gift.

AMAZING wine!! I am so happy we went through Cawston and got to stop at this wonderful winery! I ended up buying one of each of their wines. I would highly recommend stopping in and checking them out!!!
