Great wines, and even better host's. A must stop when you're in Cawston! Cheers!

I just dropped in on a whim. I was good with the red wines. I picked up a Cabernet Franc, because it was a good representative of the grape. What surprised me was the quality of the 2012 Chardonnay. It had the oakiness that I enjoy, but also crisp spiced apple acidity. Caramel and pears snuck in to make this a new favorite Chardonnay destination to haunt.

Do NOT take the cave tour for $10. Full disclosure, you get to see the basement where they store the wine barrels. "Cave tour" sounded fancy, but it's not worth the hype. Personally, we were interested in seeing the downstairs to host an event, the two of us went down at the same time and were charged $10 EACH = $20 to see the space. I won't be hosting an event there now, for $20 just to look at it. It's just bad business!! I expected that even after we purchased several bottles, the tasting fee and the "cave tour" fee would have been waived. But that wasn't the case. Our visit felt like a highway robbery. $115 could have been better spent at any other winery in the okanagan.

5 reasons for five stars: -Salmon Safe Certified -Great customer service -Tasty wines -Gorgeous view -Family owned We never did the "cave tour", just enjoyed the view and sampled the wine. We were in and out in roughly 30 minutes.
