The wine was good but we were really put out about being paying tasting customers and having to use a port-a-potty.

Been visiting this place with visiting friends and relatives from all over the country in the 20 years I've lived in PNW. Their wines are seasonal berry flavors to blended reserves of the higher end. This is a small storefront, but still family-owned. I've met Europeans, Australians, Pacific Islanders, and east Asians here to visit Hoodsport Winery. The owners young adult grandchildren assist customers some weekends and breaks from college. Today, my friend and I met Tish who was exceptional at assisting us in putting together a cache of fruity seasonals and blends of Reserve-quality, as well as can box of their signature raspberry truffles, and wine tasting gift certificates, all for a charitable auction. The winery sits across the country street from scenic Hood Canal. Whether a wintery drive, or cycling there on a glorious Spring day as I've often done, don't miss this Peninsula star! Wines we purchased were $20 to $59 per bottle...quite reasonable for upper end Chars, Syrahs, and the like. Truffles are beautifully boxed, and a variety of stemware is available for purchase too. Not only are the staff knowledgeable, but very welcoming, and willing to chat, all of which leads to an informed and delectablepresentstion for a large charity event.

Just had a chocolate and wine tasting along with a cheese platter with smoked salmon dip and it was all quite delicious.

Less than impressed!! I love fruit wines and hadn’t been in a while thought I’d give it a go...zero customer service, no talking up the wines or encouraging a tasting...I had to do that. Enjoyed the Cuvée from Willamette Valley but at 35.00 a bottle!! Yikes!! This winery should be more than it is...Maybe an organized tasting, a little face lift, a tour...show some pride in the product!! Its too bad because the wines can sell themselves!!
