Stone Hill Winery and Vintage Restaurant sits atop a hill overlooking the historic town of Hermann, MO. Of all the wineries in Hermann, Stone Hill offers the most inspiring views. Take the tour and see the caverns built generations ago where barrels of wine are aged. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and will proudly talk about the awards taken by Stone Hill’s wines at state and national competitions. We bought a bottle of 2013 Norton and enjoyed it outside at one of the many picnic tables around the grounds. There are two large tasting rooms, and despite two tour buses full of visitors on hand, we were able to belly up for a tasting without waiting. There is a restaurant on site but we did not try it. You can definitely plan to spend a whole afternoon or evening here.

We are not too much into wine (craft beer folks), but Kyle was fantastic introducing us to all the different wines during our tasting. (Brought a year's worth 😍). The tour is free and really cool. Had lunch and it was fantastic. These folks go out of their way with friendliness, makes you feel at home.

Me and boyfriend did tastings $5 each which is great but we just felt like our tasting experience was rushed and not personal at all. We didn't get to interact with the server and learn about the wines. I understand that they were busy but that was the fastest wine tasting we've ever experienced. The wines we're great though! We also did the wine cellar tour which was pretty awesome! The view and set up of this place was very beautiful. Hopefully everyone else has a better wine tasting experience.

The tour with jess was fantastic, she was upbeat, informative and friendly. Wine tasting at the end with Sara was great, very knowledgeable and personable. We rate the entire facility 5 out of 5! We will be returning.

I really appreciate the tour and the wines, they will give you the background of the company and how they are making the wines, absolutely they have world class wines. before the tour we already start tasting the wines and the foods that they serve, i will definitely encourage people to buy wines of stonehill because they are using 90percent of the grapes that they used to make wines and probably 100 percent if they can do it, that makes the wines originally where i t came from. As for the foods i spent 116 dollars to taste different kind of food they serve and i will rate it from 3 star if 5 is the highest, they really need to improve their menu. Anyway i enjoyed the tour, wines, scenery, and most of all the funny tour guide, i just forgot his name but diffenetly i have picture of him posted!!
