My children & I visited Applewood Farm Winery yesterday afternoon. With our recent severe heat & unusual weather conditions, many local farms are experiencing an impact - the strawberry fields at Applewood are in the same boat with so many other local farms right now. As a result, strawberry picking was not open, but their farm shop was chock full of wonderful, high quality products! Award winning fruit wines, meads, applejack, etc. All very delicious & fragrant - I bought 2 each of Eden, Trio & Applejack as additions to our wine cellar. They have delicious butter tarts, preserves, apple butter, & varieties of honey - I bought blue berry jam (try on a bagel with cream cheese - amazing), buckwheat honey, butter tarts & black currant port chutney. Delicious! I’m sure the family & I will visit again soon - the owners are the loveliest people; so friendly, kind & helpful. We will definitely be coming back for picking apples & produce in the autumn too. Fingers crossed for perfect weather ahead.

The staff are so friendly. The owner is very sweet and their farm is absolutely adorable. We went for strawberry picking and ended up buying some salad dressing, bbq sauce and wine from the their store (products of themselves). The only down fall (which is not the farm's fault) was that the crop this year was not enough and not good. Apparently due to the extreme rain last year the strawberries did not strive as expected. Otherwise, it was a super fun day.

We had our company picnic here yesterday, great fun! Family owned and operated, they made the whole process easy, including a picnic area where we gathered after picking strawberries in the fields, tractor rides to and from the fields, a playground and a store where they sell many wines, mead and other products made on the farm. The strawberries were a little sparse, but I think that was due to the weather and the season, not the farm.

Awesome selection of unique and tasty wines, make sure to try their Trio as well as Eden wines (latter was named after the name of owner's daughter). Eden is made of strawberry, cranberry, etc. It's so unique.

A beautiful farmhouse winery and cidery! The owner was super friendly and helpful with all of our questions, and offered us tastings of everything we were interested in. Some really unique products here including fruit and apple wines, ciders, mead, and even a very delicious blackcurrant port wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and fruit preserves. We had a great time visiting here and left with an impressive variety of beverages to enjoy.
