Where do I even begin? Rude staff, TERRIBLE customer service and overpriced wine. Visited Megalomaniac today with a group of friends, some which travelling from overseas and excited for their first wine tour. After a very pleasant experience at another Niagara winery, we were excited for our next stop - We were greeted by a male staff manager and taken to a private 'overrated' room for our tasting. The older female employee who led our tasting rushed through the tasting quicker than I could finish the drop of wine that was poured. Mind you, a $25 drop of wine. When booking this tasting with a manager, she failed to specify the tour would cost $25 and ONLY $15 will be credited back to you with a bottle of wine purchase. When paying for my $54 purchase of wine with my debit card, I seen the system approved the transaction and I began to walk away to join other members of my group. As I neared my group maybe 6 feet away in the shop, the female employee began screaming at me suggesting I did not pay. It was extremely embarrassing and belittling to say the very least. Especially on a Saturday afternoon with many people in the area. (Not quite sure if she needs to be better educated on ringing through purchases or customer service.) What was suppose to be a day filled with good company and good wine was ruined after this stop. I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from adding this winery as part of their Niagara wine tour. The view is breathtaking but that is all I can speak positively on about this winery!

One of twelve that visited this winery this past weekend. I am the one who organized our wine tour, and after an amazing time at Malivour we were really excited pulling into this venue. This was my third visit. However we will NOT be returning. First, I was told when booking our tasting “the cost is $25 but essentially FREE if you buy a bottle of wine”. One of the men on the tour asked if he could have another splash of the rose as that was the one he was considering purchasing. He was told very rudely “no” as the tour guide rolled her eyes. And continued to go over their “policy”. This was not our first time visiting a winery, and as I had mentioned not our first time at this location and we are familiar with how a tasting goes. We are also familiar with public relations and customer service as almost all of the guests have experience in this field. Let alone a reason to be rude and embarrass a guest. If we are paying $25 l don’t see how one guest could not have another taste before he is expected to spend $40+ on a bottle of wine. Next, another guest (the birthday girl) who was paying and was the reason for celebrating the day with wine a wine tour, had the tour guide chase her out of the room and embarrass her to the point of tears. She had paid debit, and machine read “approved”, the transaction wasn’t approved and needed to be ran through again. However the tour guide yelled at her to come back, and made it seem as if she was trying to get past without paying. This was the final straw and had all of our guests extremely upset. This is extremely disappointing as we had two guests from Australia and we were very eager to visit your winery and enjoy the venue and views. The customer service we received yesterday was the worst I have ever experienced. And I sent an email almost immediately and still have not have had a reply! One guest of the twelve was competed, and this made matters worse because the other eleven were not taken care of at all!!!!! This winery ruined our day, had guests in tears and left myself extremely embarrassed as I am the one who planned the day! Sincerely, A wine lover, but not a megalomaniac fan *Your short response goes to show your guests and costumers are not your number one concern, an apology is not sufficient as I am still waiting for response for my email*

I loved the property. I mentioned many times that I had never seen so many grapes before!! You get a beautiful view and I love the names of the wines. Cute and clever. Service was a bit stuffy though.

I am so disappointment in the service HALF my group got today, instead of working with us and serving our group you told us to leave because we showed up together. 4 people were offered a tasting and the rest actually asked to leave the building. When we pulled up we were all so excited to try the wines and purchase some as well, but after the way we were treated, we left (because we had to). We were extremely embarrassed because the manager actually came out to tell us leave when all we wanted to do was do a wine tasting and buy a bottle of wine. I can't believe the attitude we got from the manager and an employee. While 4 of us finished our tasting the rest of the group had to wait outside. They were by no means packed, they had a ton of room for us, but for the simple fact that we showed up together they wouldn't serve half of us. I will not return and would not recommend anyone with a group of 5+ going here unless you call to tell them (in which case you are going to be charged more for a tasting) If you and group go here I recommend not going in together to be treated fairly. Ps. Mary-anne was an amazing employee and gave us the best tasting and was not rude at all.

Went this weekend with my wife. Great wine and excellent service. Bespoke Merlo is fantastic, will be returning.
